Still on series of promote Visit Indonesia Year 2008, 36 artist from Group of Balinese Arts will visit France and Switzerland to promote Balinese art for 3 weeks, as informed by ANTARA NEWS.

During the mission, they will arrange at least 7 dance show in the two countries. Groups visit as invited by John Lux from a French Cultural Foundation. I Nyoman Carita as a group leader said that the group will transit in Malaysia first before they go to France.

Bali Art Festival is the yearly art event in Bali, which will be held in the next few months. The festival will be held on June-July 2008. In this 30th festival, the Bali art festival will be having a different program, One of the program for Bali Art Festival is International Puppet Festival.

As reported by Radar Bali, that International art festival for this time would involved by United States, France, Thailand, Japan, and Indonesia. Indonesia itself will shown the Javanese puppets and Balinese puppet. Beside the international puppet festival, in Bali art festival 2008 will also have the ethnic dance and music performance of Asia, involve by China, Korea, Kamboja and Thailand.

United States itself will have the electric puppet to be shown, while New Zealand will be have the Rebekah Wild Theater performance and as the host, Indonesia will have the Ki Enthus Susmono puppet performance from Java and Sidia with friends puppet performance from Bali.

Many people wish that the Bali Art Festival 2008, will have a unique and classic character, to keep the culture exist.

Bali, well known as a resort island is expected to organize 17 festivals, 14 of the festival are already approved by the minister of Arts and Tourism, according to the local media on Sunday. That festival will be held to celebrate the “Visit Indonesia Year 2008″.
